Isabel, otherwise known as "The Original Good Dog," has been with Stephanie in practice since she opened her private practice. Isabel has a different greeting for each client, making it clear that she "knows" them, and knows their respective story. Isabel has a heart of gold and is infinitely compassionate with regard to human struggles. She is a rescue, (which by our estimation is clearly the best breed) and it was clear when we adopted her that her prior life was wrought with mistreatment as evidenced by her initial meek demeanor and fear of furniture. She's come a long way and relishes her life as co-therapist, and looks forward to meeting you and getting to know your story.
Uma's greatest aspiration in life is to be just like her big sister, Isabel. Uma is a therapy dog in training, and with her effervescent energy and spirit, brings a precocious, playful element to the role of therapy dog. We like to say her very best skill is being cute - not just in her appearance, but also in her expressions. She really seems to listen and respond when you talk to her. Where Isabel will join you on the couch when you need a hug; Uma will exert curiosity by trying to sniff your face and tapping your arm for some affection. She is a toy enthusiast, and will bring you a variety of toys until she finds just the right one to get you to engage with her. She may initially greet you with some suspicion; but within a few minutes, she'll be bringing you a toy.
COMING SOON!
The newest addition to our Canine Division, is Ahsoka Tano Weatherstone. Initially named after the famed female Skywalker Padawan, Ahsoka is proving herself be imbued with the Force, much like her namesake.
In Sanskrit, Ahsoka means "no sorrow." We feel this added insight supports our belief that she was born to be a therapy dog. Currently in training at the Zoom Room (highly recommend, by the way, if you are in the market for high quality canine training), Ahsoka will begin making appearances at the office over the course of the summer, and hopes to be a full-time staff member like her sisters by fall.
Seen below reading up on Gaming Therapies, she is eager to learn all she can about being a very good dog, with a specialty in therapeutic support and engagement.
