In addition to providing clinical social work licensure supervision, Ms. Weatherstone is an iaedp-approved supervisor for those individuals interesting in pursuing the Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS) credential.
Ms. Weatherstone earned the iaedp-Approved Supervisor/Consultant designation from the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (iaedp) Foundation in 2023. She previously earned the CEDS credential in 2019, and this most recent supervisory level certification is the most advanced level of certification available for those specializing in the treatment of eating disorders.
This prestigious, international, designation includes a minimum of five years and 6,000 hours of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of eating disorders, continuous specialized training in eating disorder treatment, and intensive oversite, in addition to maintaining all appropriate state social work licensure and certification qualifications. Ms. Weatherstone joins an elite group of professionals committed to excellence in the treatment of eating disorders who desire to mentor, educate, and encourage other clinicians in this field who are seeking iaedp’s Certified Eating Disorders Specialist designation. Ms. Weatherstone and other CEDS-C professionals have mandates for ongoing annual training hours that must be completed and verified in order to continue to hold both the CEDS and CEDS-C certifications.
Ms. Weatherstone currently serves as the Owner, Founder, and Clinical Director of Weatherstone Collaborative, and with this iaedp-Approved Supervisor/Consultant designation, she plans to continue mentoring mental health professionals to achieve excellence and innovation in their eating disorder treatment skills and to expand comprehensive Eating Disorder treatment in the greater East Tennessee region. Ms. Weatherstone is also an Assistant Professor of Practice in the UT College of Social Work, in addition to her work at Weatherstone Collaborative.
This iaedp-approved supervisor designation allows Ms. Weatherstone to offer eating disorder clinicians who are seeking the iaedp Certification the assurance and confidence that the highest standards of supervision will be provided throughout all stages of treatment.
