Degree pending, Summer of 2025
I am currently a student with Winthrop University in my terminal year of the Masters of Social Work program. I received my bachelors degree in Psychology from the College of Charleston and I am a South Carolina native. I am new to the Knoxville area and excited for the opportunities this amazing city has to offer.
I love meeting new people and feel that everyone has a valuable story to share. I understand the importance of empowerment, and I believe that everyone has intrinsic strengths that allow them to face whatever challenges arise. I have experience working with a range of mood disturbances, and I face new challenges with an open mind and curiosity. I am eager to learn and believe the best way to learn is to work collaboratively with others. I am excited to get to know you, and am grateful for the opportunity to enhance my development as a future therapist.
Outside of work, I love cuddling up on the couch with my cat to watch a movie or read a book. I also love exploring new restaurants or shops and spending time with family and friends as I feel close relationships are of the utmost importance in life. I also enjoy taking a nature walk to clear my head while enjoying the many beauties the world has to offer.
Winthrop University's Master of Social Work program is accredited by the CSWE and adheres to the NASW Code of Ethics. Through specialized field instruction, students master the skills from empowerment courses and meet all nine core competencies required for independent practice.
