For over a decade, I have had the privilege of serving individuals and families in the Knoxville area. I consider being welcomed to journey alongside those who are working towards living their life to the fullest to be one of life’s most rewarding experiences. As an East Tennessee native, I love meeting the people with whom I share a city, all collectively working towards making ourselves and our community a happier, healthier place.
There is something so special about sitting with a client and together working towards discovering what makes them unique. I believe that everyone who steps into my office comes with all the necessary gifts to accomplish their goals, and that sometimes it just takes an outside perspective to bring them to light.
As a licensed master-level social worker, I have experience working with teens, young adults, adults, and families. My approach is rooted in trauma informed care, and though my training is broad and systems based, my primary practice populations have focused on issues such as addiction, relational struggles, eating disorders, anxiety, and the full array of mood concerns. I have a particular interest in working with individuals who have experienced some of the hardest things that life has to dish out, and discover new ways to overcome adversity and thrive.
When I’m not busy working, I enjoy spending time in the great outdoors by trail running with my chocolate lab and fly fishing, or working on the never-ending list of projects in my old house with my wife!
